Durante el recién Sínodo de la Familia, en
Roma, una de las mujeres asistentes pronunció el siguiente discurso: “Su
Santidad, Padres Sinodales, Hermanos y Hermanas. Represento a la Asociación de
Doctores Católicos de Bucarest. Soy de la Iglesia Greco-Católica Rumana. Mi
padre fue un líder político Cristiano, que fue encarcelado durante 17 años por
los comunistas. Mis padres estaban comprometidos, pero su boda tuvo lugar 17
años después. Mi madre esperó a mi padre todos esos años, aunque ella ni
siquiera sabía si él seguía vivo. Ellos han sido heroicamente fieles a Dios y a
su compromiso. Su ejemplo muestra que la gracia de Dios puede superar terribles
circunstancias sociales y pobreza material. Nosotros, como doctores católicos,
defendiendo la vida y la familia, podemos ver que esto es, antes que todo, una
batalla espiritual.
La pobreza material y el consumismo no es la
causa primordial de la crisis de la familia. La causa primordial de la
revolución sexual y cultural es ideológica. Nuestra Señora de Fátima dijo que
los errores de Rusia se extenderían por todo el mundo. Primero se hizo de
manera violenta, el Marxismo clásico, que mató a decenas de millones. Ahora, se
está haciendo primordialmente a través del Marxismo cultural. El Marxismo
clásico pretendía rediseñar la sociedad, a través de la apropiación violenta de
la propiedad. Ahora la revolución es más profunda, pretende redefinir la
familia, la identidad sexual y la naturaleza humana. Esta ideología se llama a
sí misma progresista. Sin embargo, no es otra cosa que la antigua oferta de la
serpiente: que el hombre tome el control y reemplace a Dios para lograr la
salvación aquí, en este mundo. Es un error de naturaleza religiosa. Es
Gnosticismo. Es tarea de los pastores reconocerlo y advertir al rebaño de este
peligro.
La misión de la Iglesia es salvar almas. El
Mal, en este mundo, viene del pecado, y no por la disparidad de riquezas o el
“cambio climático.” La solución es: Evangelización, conversión. Lo solución no
es un aumento del control de los gobiernos, ni un gobierno mundial. En la
actualidad éstos son los principales agentes que imponen: el Marxismo cultural
a nuestras naciones bajo la forma de control de población, la salud
reproductiva, los derechos de los homosexuales, la educación de género, entre
otros. Lo que actualmente necesita el mundo no es la limitación de la libertad,
sino la verdadera libertad, la liberación del pecado. La Salvación. Nuestra
Iglesia fue suprimida por la ocupación Soviética. Ninguno de nuestros 12
obispos traicionó su comunión con el Santo Padre.
Nuestra Iglesia sobrevivió gracias a la
determinación de nuestros obispos y su ejemplo resistiendo la prisión y el
terror. Nuestros obispos le pidieron a la comunidad no seguir el mundo. No
cooperar con los comunistas. Ahora necesitamos que Roma le diga al mundo:
“Arrepiéntete de tus pecados y vuelve a Dios, porque el Reino de los Cielos
está cerca.” No sólo nosotros, los laicos católicos, sino además muchos
Cristianos Ortodoxos están rezando con inquietud por este Sínodo. Porque, como
dicen, si la Iglesia Católica cede al espíritu del mundo, va a ser muy difícil
para los otros Cristianos resistir” (Dra. Anca-María Cernea of Bucarest,
Romania).
“Al tercer día lo encontraron en el templo,
sentado en medio de los doctores, escuchándolos y haciéndoles preguntas. Todos
los que lo oían se admiraban de su inteligencia y de sus respuestas” (Lucas: 2,
46-47).
¿Hemos de buscar las respuestas a los asuntos
de familia en las enseñanzas de Jesús, o en las opiniones de los políticos y
gobiernos de este mundo?
During the
recent Synod of the Family, in Rome, one of the women attending delivered the
following address: “Your Holiness, Synod Fathers, Brothers and Sisters, I
represent the Association of Catholic Doctors from Bucharest. I am from the
Romanian Greek Catholic Church. My father was a Christian political leader, who
was imprisoned by the communists for 17 years. My mother waited all those years
for my father, although she didn’t even know if he was still alive. They have
been heroically faithful to God and to their engagement. Their example shows
that God’s grace can overcame terrible social circumstances and material
poverty. We, as Catholic doctors, defending life and family, can see this is,
first of all, a spiritual battle.
Material poverty
and consumerism are not the primary cause of the family crisis. The primary
cause of the sexual and cultural revolution is ideological. Our Lady of Fatima
has said that Russia’s errors would spread all over the world. It was first
done under a violent form, classical Marxism, by killing tens of millions, now
it’s being done mostly by cultural Marxism. Classical Marxism pretended to
redesign society, through violent take-over of property. Now the revolution
goes deeper; it pretends to redefine family, sexual identity and human nature;
this ideology calls itself progressive, but it is nothing else than the ancient
serpent’s offer, for man to take control, to replace God, to arrange salvation
here in this world. It’s an error of religious nature, it’s Gnosticism, and
it’s the task of the shepherds to recognize it and warn the flock against this
danger.
The Church’s
mission is to save souls. Evil, in this world comes from sin, not from income
disparity or “climate change”, the solution is: Evangelization, conversion. Not
an ever increasing government control, not a world government, these are
nowadays the main agents imposing cultural Marxism to our nations, under the
form of population control, reproductive health, gay rights, gender education,
and so on. What the world needs nowadays is not limitation of freedom, but real
freedom, liberation from sin. Salvation. Our Church was suppressed by the
Soviet occupation, but none of our 12 bishops betrayed their communion with the
Holy Father.
Our Church
survived thanks to our bishops’ determination and example in resisting prisons
and terror. Our bishops asked the community not to follow the world, not to
cooperate with the communists. Now we need Rome to tell the world: “Repent of
your sins and turn to God for the Kingdom of Heaven is near.” Not only us, the
Catholic laity, but also many Christian Orthodox are anxiously praying for this
Synod; because, as they say, if the Catholic Church gives in to the spirit of
this world, it is going to be very difficult for all the other Christians to
resist it” (Dr. Anca-Maria Cernea of Bucharest, Romania).
“After three
days they found him in the temple, sitting in the midst of the teachers,
listening to them and asking them questions, and all who heard him were
astounded at his understanding and his answers” (Luke:2, 46-47).
¿Should we seek
the answers to matters of family in the teachings of Jesus, or in the opinions
of politicians and Governments of this world?
